It’s 2025 — a new year, a new opportunity to make new and not-so-new resolutions again.

A resolution is nothing but having a strong determination to do something. That alone is never enough — we’ve heard this time and again.

Why Goals?

We as humans, always need a goal. Something to work towards. This helps us feel like we’re doing something and helps us measure our progress. This progress then helps us stay motivated to keep working towards a goal.

Know your limit.

There are countless things all of us want to do and achieve. But it’s never feasible. You need to assess your priorities and capabilities to determine which goals must be completed this year and which ones you can achieve.

Making goals measurable.

Making the goals measurable with a numerical value or having well-defined milestones makes tracking your progress easier. Although it might not always be possible, it helps a lot.

Discipline is still required

Motivation is not reliable. No matter what tactics we use to keep ourselves motivated, you’ll find days and weeks where you just can’t stay motivated. Nothing beats discipline. It would be nice to leverage our motivation in…
